Many people have asked for visits to be arranged to local producers and two have been arranged for June. The first is to Partridges Farm at Layham on the evening of Wednesday, 24th June at 6.30pm to walk round the farm with Charles Partridge and see how the produce for the shop is grown. The second is to find out more about our local meat, how to choose it, the various cuts and ways to use them. This will be at The Jolly Butchers (Pierrepoint's old shop) at 10.30am on Tuesday, 30th June where Sam and Charlie will talk about their local meat suppliers and explain about the various cuts of meat and the best uses for them.

Both these visits are free of charge but numbers are restricted. To book a place contact Jane Haylock on 01473 827752 or call in at The Idler. A visit to Hollowtrees and the adjoining fruit farm will be arranged in July.
